These activities can be done at home or in the classroom as they are all done alone and anonymously 1. Write about a time when you wanted to say sorry but couldn't. Then write about a time when you did say sorry and felt forgiven. Focusing of how you felt, knowing that you had been forgiven. 2. Can you remember and incident recently when you hurt someone? Write down what you did to hurt the person. Outline what steps you took or should take to seek reconciliation with the person 3. Recall a situation fron a TV show, a movie or a novel in which one of the characters does something horribly wrong, then suggest ways in which they could repair the damage between themselves, other people and God. List what personal qualities they would need to heal the situation. Reflect on these qualities and how they could help your relationship with God and others. now draw a pair of hands to symbolise healing, within the hands write your own prayer asking God to help you develop these healing qualities.
Class Discussion
Read the story of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15) and have the students reflect what they would feel, think, and do if they were the father or either one of the sons in the story. You may choose to show a video to summarise the scripture.
Practice Penance
